Michelle Waddington

Michelle studied for her BSc (Hons) in Enhanced Paramedic Practice at the University of Central Lancashire & qualified as a paramedic in 2013. She is also a registered member of the Health Care Professions Council.

 

Previous to her work as a paramedic Michelle worked as a Technician for North West Ambulance Service  &  as a Physiotherapist Assistant.

 Michelle moved to Munich with her husband and two daughters in 2016. Michelle regularly returns to the UK to work as a paramedic on the front line, so as to maintain her skills and license to practice. 

 

As well as working at Pippagina Michelle works in the Nurses office at the Bavarian International School, and teaches cardiopulmonary resuscitation to primary & secondary school children. 

 

Michelle runs the First Aid for New Parents at Pippagina. 

Lynn Darbyshire

Pippagina is run by Lynn Darbyshire Msc. RM. RGN. a German Registered Hebamme and a British Registered Midwife.  Lynn originally trained as a nurse in the UK and after qualifying worked in general medicine and gynaecology.  In 1990 she qualified as a midwife. She worked in all areas of Midwifery both in the hospital and in the community, and also spent a number of years specialising in prenatal screening and genetics.


In 2003 she moved to the USA where she worked teaching and facilitating prenatal and postnatal classes as well as working as a ski patroller in the winter.


In 2011 she moved back to Europe and returned to clinical practice, as well as completing a Masters degree in Womens Health and Midwifery. Her dissertation examined the risk of postnatal depression in the immigrant population, this topic remains an integral part of Lynn’s work at
Pippagina.


In addition to her work at Pippagina, Lynn also works in the Kreißsaal at Klinikum Freising.

Heather Scott

Heather started her Midwifery BSC (Hons) in 2012 at the University of Central Lancashire and

became a U.K registered Midwife in 2015. After qualifying , she continued working in the North

West of England. She initially worked in a high risk unit before settling into a low risk birth centre

and community setting.

Heather moved to Munich in 2019 with her husband and two children . She is currently undertaking

a MSC in Health Science : Prevention and Promotion at the Technical University of Munich.

Heather facilitates the Little Movers and Explorers classes at Pippagina
